ABOUT WINGS FOR LIFE WORLD RUN
The Wings for Life World Run is different. It's not like other races. Everyone across the planet starts their race at exactly the same time - 11:00 AM UTC or 04:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
That means participants in the UK start at 12:00 PM, in Germany at 1:00 PM, in Florida at 7:00 AM, in India at 4:30 PM and so on...
Together, we run for those who can’t. For people who can’t enjoy the freedom of moving their body. We run to help find a cure for spinal cord injury.
Professional athletes, fun runners and total beginners are all in it together against the Catcher Car. The best bit? 100% of all entry fees and donations goes directly to spinal cord research to find a cure for spinal cord injury.
ABOUT THE VIRTUAL CATCHER CAR - OUR MOVING FINISH LINE
In the Wings for Life World Run, you get chased by a moving finish line - the Catcher Car. You can run as far & as fast as you want. Once overtaken, you are a finisher! At the very same time people from all around the globe are running, walking or rolling with you.
There is NO finish line. There is a Virtual Catcher Car that begins its chase 30 minutes after the start signal. Fun runners, for e.g., make it to kilometer 5. Professional athletes power on to over 60 km.

RUN's MISSION - RESEARCH GIVES HOPE
In this moment – while you're reading this – somebody has injured their spinal cord & will be paralyzed.
No feeling in their legs, maybe no feeling in their arms or hands either. Immobile. Constantly dependent on the assistance of others.
Wings for Life wants to help. As a charity foundation, Wings for Life supports cutting-edge research worldwide. The big goal is to find a cure for spinal cord injury.
WHEELCHAIR PARTICIPANTS
On May 5, 2024 wheelchair participants & runners start side by side at this track.
The only requirement : wheelchair participants have to start in everyday wheelchairs.
REFRESHMENT STATION & LOCAL SET UP
Yes, the track will have a refreshment station which will have Water, Bananas & Post Race Refreshment.
TIMING & RACE NUMBER & FREE ADIDAS T-SHIRT
Within 48 - 72 hours, you will be receiving a FREE & unique voucher code via WhatsApp through which you will need to register yourself at the Wings For Life - World Run for the App Run at Panchkula & your personal race number will be generated, as you register.
You will need to login on the activity tracking app too & follow the steps in order to get your FREE adidas T-Shirt, as soon as you get register for the Wings For Life World Run @ Panchkula 2024 via the sent voucher code.
The Wings for Life World Run Mobile App is your time tracking tool.
The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start & as soon as it overtakes you, you will get clear signals via the App.
DIRECTIONS FOR USING WINGS FOR LIFE WORLD RUN MOBILE APP
DO MAKE SURE TO HAVE A FULLY CHARGED PHONE ON RACE DAY & NOT START YOUR RACE WHILE IN POWER SAVER MODE.
For better GPS performance, make sure that the Wings for Life World Run App is not optimised for power usage in anyway.
